Started playing Odin's Sphere today. Any hints on how to get more Phozons?

I can't give any tips, but I remember I played it day-one when it came for ps2... and it was more difficult than Vita version, I think the combat system is better in this one! If I did it 100% back then (with a little help for getting all cutscenes), you'll surely be able to play it ^_^ Good luck and enjoy it, it's a wonderful game!!!

I believe you just need to replay levels when you get the opportunity to get more phozon and cash. Also a good idea for stocking up on potions you'll need.

If you're patient enough, you can create a Material that's at or above level 90 and then combine it with a Mandragora to generate 30 phozons. To increase the level of a Material, you'll combine two of them at a time, and the resulting level is a multiple of the two. For example, a level 2 and a level 5 will give you a level 10 Material. I think having the Spirit Orb equiped also helps here.

Also, don't neglect to eat food. The Health experience is separate from what you get from phozons and is the only way to increase your health. If you're late enough in the game, be sure to drink a Yogurt before consuming food or eating at one of the restaurants you'll unlock later.

Early on, go back through old levels, eat stuff. You should manually release phozons for things you plant, and spend on meals at the Pooka village and wandering chef.

Late game, when you really need to pump up? The answer is different for Gwen vs. the other characters, but for all of them the answer is potions.

Max level Gold potion is the most essential, as it lets you farm coins for meals. You'll probably have a hard time making it as Gwen, since later chapters unlock the ability to just buy mandragoras. The good news is you can always go back once you've done the other characters parts and those features will be unlocked.

Gwen's best grindable battle is the two unicorn knights in Ringford.

For everyone else, King Ooze in Titania. If you struggle to fight it (some characters have a tougher time than others) bring two max level Whirlwind potions.
