Welcome to the retro side of the force.
I think the real concern here isn't that we'll be running out of games to play anytime soon but the fact that hardware will break at one point or another and it will be difficult to replace if it isn't manufactured anymore. There are thousands of games to play from the last 40 years on various platforms, I think most people will be good if gaming in general randomly killed itself one day and stopped producing new games or consoles. Unless they're multiplayer addicts who refuse to play anything single-player, which I don't understand![]()
Damn I didn't realize thatI think the real concern here isn't that we'll be running out of games to play anytime soon but the fact that hardware will break at one point or another and it will be difficult to replace if it isn't manufactured anymore.
If that happens we're screwed ripIt'd require such a massive boycott to counter this...I think the real concern here isn't that we'll be running out of games to play anytime soon but the fact that hardware will break at one point or another and it will be difficult to replace if it isn't manufactured anymore.
Physical copies of games would be also effected, with something such as gamecube disc rot or even when 3ds games dies because the flash memory in it died out.I think the real concern here isn't that we'll be running out of games to play anytime soon but the fact that hardware will break at one point or another and it will be difficult to replace if it isn't manufactured anymore.
