Off the top of my head I've liked Bleed and Fleshwater and they seem closest to the early-2000s sound I like. Something about it gives me a visual of a splash burst of Mountain Dew Code Red. DED are a newer nu-metal influenced band and while I'm not into them, I do like a band that the vocalist was in when he was younger called Halfgain.
