I distinctly remember sitting in front of the TV Friday nights with my hamster so that we could watch us some KaBlam!, which was a showcase of sorts of animated shorts. Prometheus & Bob and Action League Now! were some of the regular shorts they'd feature

Pete & Pete, without question 🥳

Growing up in the American Midwest, it was uncanny how much this show just "got it." The kids, their friends, and the shenanigans they got up to. And the way that reality seemed to blur with fantasy when you were young, and didn't quite know the ways of the world. Chock full of random celebrity cameos, as well.

In saying all of that, the show is EXTREMELY whitebread! So it definitely won't click with everyone 😅

Still, it was nice to have a slice-of-life show involving American suburbia that wasn't Roseanne, Home Improvement, or even King of the Hill.

Killer theme song, too. If you're into early 90s alt-rock, that is 😄
