All gear, ideal setup, who wins in a one on one fight.

Hard to say in terms of sheer capability, but I'd definitely root for old Roy. He's more human than most actual humans in Blade Runner, moreso when compared to the soulless T-800.

Would that leave the advantage moot if you took took out the chip that inhibited the Terminator's emotional learning capabilities? All that's stopping a T-800 from having a soul is an R/F switch really.

You make a good point there, true. Still, I guess you could say the Nexus 6's existential crisis is more appealing to me in general. It's not that I dislike Arnie the T800, but still.

Comparing Apple to Oranges.

Sorry, I love The Terminator (especially the first movie) and Blade Runner (I do prefer the book which was bleaker and had deeper themes than Ridley Scott's as great as it was).

If we go by 1984 T-800 vs (alternative) 2019 Nexus-6 he'll have a slight technological advantage. If the T-800 was transported into 2019 then they'd be on equal technological footings.

I do think that, in an ironic way, Deckard was a human(?) Terminator in the "Do Androids-verse".

Oh and by the way, Kyle and Sarah defeated the T-800 after days of struggle, I think Rick may have a chance if he decides to team up and protect Roy.

Still... fruit wars!

A lot of Deckard's nature revolves around what he really is, yeah.

I agree. I also believe Roy's incredible intelligence would allow him to devise favorable tactical situations and at least take educated guesses as what the T-800s (relative) weaknesses may be.

Yeah, I'm thinking that's the edge. Roy is less armored (comparable strength), but he can dodge bullets. Also, he's smart. Not just computationally, but within the realm of a human mind. T-800 has genius level tactics, but he follows a linear logic, which makes him predictable and likely to be ambushed and killed.

I'd easily handle them both 😂

I kinda wish the movie director wouldn't have given any clue about what he is, keeping some mystery.

Roy is a battle replicant and a survivor after all.

His biggest weakness is his short life expectancy.

Which is why, as cool as the Tech Noire scene was, it was stupid.

He should've attacked Sarah Conor in her own house or in an isolated area. He just busted his cover to Kyle Reese who didn't know who the T-800 was up to this point.

NuncaI've never seen any of the Terminator movies, I don't know if it's worth it.

T1 and T2 are worth watching. There are some fans of T3 and Terminator Salvation. These two movies aren't connected to the first two movie's production or continuity. T3 is a terrible remake of T2 and Salvation is a poor man's portrayal of the future war from the first two movies.
