New Octopath game

So Octopath Traveler 0 was announced. What do you all think?

I really liked the first two games! (especially 2!)
This one looks like it is going to feature character creation, some kind of town building, and 8-characters-at-once combat. I'm pretty excited about it right now to be honest

Im not sure what to think I never played the others I do wanna play them but life.

SO my taught is as I heard allot of good about the first 2 games I bet this will be great for people that like the series.

I'm happy seeing as i have both physically for the Switch, kind of pissed off that the Switch 2 version is game-key card only. Looks like ill have to buy the switch version.

Besides that, it's a prequel to the first game, so i wonder how this will connect with the first game seeing as we are making our own characters this time.

Yeah I wonder about it being a prequel too. I might need to replay the first game as a refresher to remember what happens.

Looks like theres 30 potentially playable characters you can recruit. I wonder if you can only choose 8 or what. Seems cool, but I really liked the in-depth stories of the 8 characters in the previous 2 games. With so many playable characters, I hope it doesn't lose depth.

I was VERY delighted when I read this news this morning. Or rather it was like, the only game announced that I was excited for... & it's coming out in a few months? Sweet!

Can't wait to build stupid powerful party combos out of 30 characters! Although not sure how I feel about 8 character battles. If there's one thing I don't like in rpgs it's multitasking & upkeeping 10 billion people.
But at the same time since we're playing as a custom avatar & the guy said there's (only?) 2 paths, maybe we won't have to slog through 8 different character stories this time just to reach the end.
The dice in the special edition look pretty slick, I want those!

Square has tons of great RPGs with multiple characters. :D

After seeing the platforms it is going to be released for, I am hoping all the time that PS4 will get a physical release, I don't care what region I have to but it.

I'm happy seeing as i have both physically for the Switch, kind of pissed off that the Switch 2 version is game-key card only. Looks like ill have to buy the switch version.

Unfortunatelly I have the first one for Switch and the second one for PS4, as Square Enix was stupid enough to skip physical copies for Sony consoles :(

its based on that, but I don't think its a straight port. (hopefully)
