Need help about the MB limit...

Trying to attach a mp3 file in a post on my profile, but it keeps on saying the file is too large to be uploaded: it was 14 MB = too large; so I reduced to less than 5 MB, but still too large...
What's the MB limit???

It's currently 2MB.
For larger files, it's recommended to use an external hosting service.
For media files, you can use sites such as Youtube or Spotify, and your media will be directly playable within the post.

It’s 2MB. You can downsize the vid by going to ezgif.

Yeah, 2 MB.
Because remember, everything hosted here is taking up server space.
And unlike a huge corporate-owned server with multiple TBs of drive space, this is not that.
So, the 2 MB file size limitation is more or less a safeguard to prevent filling up the space and, well, lagging down the server with massive uploads.

Imagine if every user could upload 20, 50, or 100 MB files simultaneously.
Yes, I know high-speed internet. But again, not on some massive company-owned ISP that can do multi-GB of data transfer per second.
Or at least I'm pretty sure that's the reason
