PS1 My top 20 PSX games

Hey guys, the PlayStation 1 was the console I grew up with, and lately I've been replaying and trying out titles I didn't know existed or had only heard of, and while I still have a few more I want to try, last week I played Castlevania Symphony Of The Night for the first time making it the 35th game I've completed on this beautiful console, so I thought it would be fun to make a top 20 of my favorites, at least for now!

Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
Spyro The Dragon
Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage
Rayman 2: The Great Escape

Before you guys want to kill me for putting those last 4 games above these other 15
the reason is basically nostalgia. When I was a kid, I was a massive Toy Story fan and those silly racing games with powers

I was born late so everything here is literally new to me, feels like an advantage since now I can binge some golden era videogames

Nice list. I want to say that I appreciate these posts from everyone. I had a PS1 and did not play every game so it is great to go back and try games I never had in my radar. FF8 was more memorable to me than 7. I don't know why. Maybe it was the time I wasted playing the card game.

Despite being my personal favorite system, this one's hard to think about, considering the number of PS1 games I've conquered is over 100 and, for the most part, any strong opinions from me on anything is quite rare. Running it down in alphabetical order, here.

Here's mine!
I admittedly didn't grow up on this as much as I did the PS2, but I played my fair share of PSX games still. This one is in alphabetical order (But I'm pretty sure my top 3 would be Chrono Cross, FF7 and RE2). Some of them I haven't played since I was a kid, so it's a mix of nostalgia and actual opinion

EDIT: I can't believe I forgot Symphony of The Night!!!

Also, for anybody wanting a Klonoa fix on real hardware, Ridge Racer Type 4 came with a bonus disc that has a meaty demo of the game on it. The first Vision is on there. So, for about half an hour, you can pretend like you own the game that is $650

Let's go Rival Schools! I have Vagrant Story and Chrono Cross are on my list of games to play. Vagrant intimidates me a bit, I've read that it's quite difficult

Yeah, no. As someone who pays attention to this kind of business, that's just insanity (unless it was a sealed copy, which is excusable). Back in the 2020-22 bubble? Well, everyone and their mother messed everything up, but just about everything has cooled down since then. Klonoa is still one of the big ones, regardless (~350 average), but the only ones going past $600 these days are the genuinely rare variants (like the Syphon Filter 3 original cover), with only Tron Bonne and Starblade Alpha regularly tasting it.
