Just got my crown re-fit after it fell out, and now I developed a slight lump around that area, which is most likely infected. My throat, cheek, and jaw are hurting like hell. Going in tomorrow morning and getting it extracted, Screw it, atleast it's in the back. Advil, salt water rinse, aren't helping anymore. I'm not getting any sleep tonight. ::hellmo

I hope they get you fixed up quickly. When I had an infected tooth, they made me take tylenol 3 for a few days first before they could take it out. But once they did, I asked the dentist lady, "was it good for you too?" Such relief.

Oof, that sucks. I've got a problem tooth right now too, though luckily not infected. Hope you get some relief soon mate.

I am sorry to hear that.

Hope you feel better soon, that sounds rough. I've had an infected tooth before, that wasn't fun. And I've had to get a couple root canals, ugh, dental stuff sucks. Once the infected stuff is gone, hopefully they give you some antibiotics, after that I'm sure you'll be back to normal relatively soon.

Ouch! Tooth pain is very nearly the worst.
Hopefully you are feeling better soon.

Should probably take it to court for attempted murder.
Unfortunately, listening to Taylor Swift didn't cause it to unalive itself.

Thx for the kind words ppl. Manage to get about 2 hours of sleep. Better than nothing. I don't wish this upon my worst enemy. No, actually I do. But anyways, thx again guys and gals!

Damn sorry about the pain. Last time I had any toothache was a decade ago and it was no fun at all. Hope it works out.

I don't know how much it'll help, but I know someone who had terrible toothache that would come and go for years, which they didn't get sorted out until recently because they're terrified of dentists, and they would keep a bottle of vodka near their bed for the pain.

Good luck man. I hope you get it sorted soon.
From what I've heard from everyone I've ever talked to, toothache is the worst pain they've ever experienced. So I can't imagine how you must be feeling.

If they can't help you today and Orajel is a thing you have access to, it can numb a sore tooth enough to get some real rest.

Yeap, I've had tooth ache last year, had to remove a wisdom tooth. It was terrible pain, and it wouldn't go away. The only medicine that worked on it was paracetamol, none of the others did anything. Go get that taken care of with a dentist as soon as possible. And for everyone else, take care of your teeth.

Just the worst damn pain, truly. I hope the extraction is bright and early and it's out sooner rather than later.

From my experience, Orajel helped jackshit!
Probably didn't use enough, in my experience you have to slather that shit on like you're trying to flood the joint.

Do vegetable oil pulling.
Use menthol oil on teeth.
Do teeth / mouth exercises: clamp upper and lower teeth together, hold up till it hurt more or suppress the painly affected tooth.
And/or open and close mouth and jaw like doing sets of exercises.

Tooth extracted. Doc really pulled that shit out. The numbing shot into the area where it hurt the most was without a doubt the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. My goodness. Biting on a gauze. Still bleeding alot. I was worried, but doc said it can last up to 12 hours. Pain is a 4/10. Got Tyrenol 3 prescribed. Thank you for all the well wishes. Love ya'll.

I have a similar problem, right now I'm feeling discomfort from a root canal I need done. But I also needed my back wisdom tooth pulled, went to three dentists which said I needed to see a specialist but they were very far away and cost an arm and leg.

Fortunately I searched around and found one near by asking half the cost (for the wisdom tooth but not root canal procedure that still expensive.) But my wisdom tooth isn't paining me, its my back molar next to it that desperately needs to be pulled /or an root canal.

In the end the specialist pulled my wisdom tooth out, similarly by yanking it with only a few numbing shots, 2 days later I'm still laying upright and eating soft foods. It wouldn't be half as bad if the cavity next to it was taken care of first, plan on going later this week, at this point don't care about the amount they charge.

Did you ever get that sorted? For me, my issue is that I let my wisdom grow in too far, and they crushed the molars next to it. I've had 2 root canals and an extraction, but regardless whenever the seasons change it's hell

Sorry to hear that it impacted your molars, it hasn't crushed mine but it did grow deep enough they ended up extracting half and cutting the rest leaving a tiny amount having the gum grow over I guess called fractured. Truly is annoying, next up a root canal on my back molar.

he's killing you??? well wtf are you telling us for? call the police!!

So my wisdom tooth extraction is healing, I went to two dentists (to have another opinion) still can't eat most solid foods, drink coffee. Scheduled an appointment with a specialist next week to have my molar tooth surgically removed since the roots go far down to my jaw bone the local dentists cannot remove it.
