My (Probably Will Not Follow Through) Fan Translation Idea

So i LOVVE this manga called "Horimiya", have been a big fan for like five years. since i enjoy it so much and it has left some permanent changes and marks in my life causing me to change for the better, i want to help others in my country who may not know enough english to read it. i have a lot of friends who search vigorously for sites that have their anime or manga on my country's language, and i would like to at least contribute to helping them. I have seen some Horimiya translations for example, but i was not exactly left satisfied with how they conveyed a few words and jokes, as well as their overall way of writing it had changed some scenes drastically. I thought "i think i can make a better translation than this" but i am not sure if i have the time or mental fortitude (im very weak and i get so tired so easily) to follow through , let alone a place where i can post said translations. maybe i'll try, maybe i wont

you should give it a try! translation is really fun. i had the same thought as you back late last year and tried to make a better translation for Love-Bullet in English. the process is really super duper fun.

i wouldnt let the pressure of translation get to you. just do it at your own pace. it's obviously something youre passionate about. youre not doing it for money, so you dont have to worry about putting things out "on time". give it a shot, i implore you.
(also horimiya is so fucking cute and Izumi's hair and piercings make me swoon) ((i got more piercings cause of him LOL))

honestly i might yea, because i REALLY want other people that may be feeling like me that can use a good manga that may change their life. i want others to enjoy what i have. maybe there are other people like me that need a good manga to read, maybe reading it will make them happy and moved or motivated etc.

yes i am not doing it for anything monetary and yes i am very passionate about this. i want to share what made me laugh, what made me cry, what made me determined and what moved me etc.

I KNOW RIGHTT, god i fucking love horimiya and its characters. Izumi is ofc my fav (as my pfp suggests) but the characters are generally good.

i got more piercings cause of him LOL

see, when i first saw Horimiya i was like "dude i want piercings like himmm" and then my parents said i should wait until i make sure what my future plans were. im sure my mom just didnt want me to get piercings (she hates fun) so she used that to trip me into not getting them. i will after high school ends though. god i have so much planned after high school.

Well, from the translated pages you posted it looks like you already have all the skills you need, I can only suggest as jiyuuboyetsvi said, to do it at your own pace, like set yourself a goal (i.e. at least 4-5 pages a day) so you don't get burnt out but also never skip a day. This is key for steady progress for stuff you like but might get exhausting from overdoing it.
