I prefer to keep it down to just 10.

I’ve got to put some time and thought into something like this for my own faves, but I will say that was fun to look thru and that disco elysium is so peak. One of the best games of all time possibly. And it’s so funny to see someone else mention Chulip—I started it and was so confused about what the point was lol. But it was kind of entertaining and you’ve made me want to jump back in and give it some more time
I recommend a guide for playing Chulip as its mechanics are quite obtuse.

Once you get the hang of it, the experience becomes delightful.

About fifteen years ago, I remember sitting down with a notebook and painstakingly attempting to write out my own list of my "100 favorite games." And I did! But... I realized that, once I got past the top 25 or so, the rest was just kind of window dressing. I have my all-time faves, but outside of those, the list can be pretty fluid 
It's also surprising (refreshing?) to see so many of what I think of as "modern" games on these lists - considering we're on Retro Game Talk! Not that that's a bad thing, just an observation.
Also surprising to see Parasite Eve get mentioned in the first three lists. Like, wow! I love that game dearly, myself, but had no idea that so many others put it up on such a pedestal. I'm not sure it cracks my top ten, but it's a remarkable game, to be sure. Always glad to see more fans
My own top ten:
1) Metroid (NES)
2) Ms. Pac-Man (Arcade)
3) Doom (PC, 1993)
4) Tetris (Game Boy, 1989)
5) Street Fighter II (Arcade)
6) The Empire Strikes Back (Atari 2600)
7) SoulCalbur II (Gamecube)
8) Riven: The Sequel to Myst (PC, 1997)
9) Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (PS1)
10) Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (Genesis)
These do shuffle around on a given basis, but for the most part, I find these ten to be unshakable

I'm not surprised seeing Xenogears as your no.1 game considering your pfp 
It's also one of my all time favourite. Let's hope that someday we will get a proper remake of it that will fulfill the potential of the 2nd disk.

think we're two peas in a pod. I Love most of these games and I got my eyes set on the rest. seriously though it's kinda surprising how similar we are in taste but also totally awesome the same time
Very cool to see some of my favorites there. Kudos for giving Ghost Trick some much needed recognition, too.
