I've still own a PS2 slim but never had the chance to play MS Saga: A New Dawn but thanks to retrogametalk.com i downloaded the ROM and had an amazing time playing it.

This is a PS2 GEM ? 100%

The major focus of the game is the ability to customize their own mobile suits using parts of mecha designs from the early Universal Century Gundam anime series, Mobile Fighter G Gundam, and Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. The units on offer are kept to more basic mecha while more powerful ones (such as the powerful Devil Gundam Corps from G Gundam) are kept as game-controlled bosses.

I really want a Remake a new version of this game, i think there are few NEW RPG games with vibes and aesthetics like this one.

Shining Force, Phantasy Star and Valkaria Chronicles.
Unobvious Sega bias.

I feel it is no longer underrated since its cult is growing every year but I can’t help but recommend Vagrant Story wherever I go. There’s something unique about all of Matsuno‘s games especially when combined with Akihiko Yoshida‘s designs and Hitoshi Sakimoto‘s music, so add the Final Fantasy Tactics games and Final Fantasy XII on that list. The latter I feel was very misunderstood for a long time. I’m glad the remastered version introduced it to a new audience and the re-recorded soundtrack is just *chef‘s kiss*

Front Mission 5
I never played 5 but 3 is low key one of my favorite PSX games for sure.

The Parasite Eve games are also a must play. I feel they have a lot of untapped potential still so I’m looking forward to .45 parabellum bloodhound which seems inspired by it.

- ff12 and 10
- valkyrie profile: slimeria
- kingdom hearts 2
- wild arms 5 and 4
- tales of the abyss and tales of destiny: director's cut
- megaman x: command mission
- legaia 2
- the orphen game
- odin sphere
- grandia 3
- shining force exa
- musashi: samurai legend
- rogue galaxy

are some examples

Not kingdom hearts

Not kingdom hearts
First one was surprisingly good and still plays pretty well to this day, but they kind of undermined everything creative they had going for it by making endless and continuously more awkward sequels. It really should have been a singular standalone title and not a two decades and counting cash cow.
