Most uncomfortbale controller/gamepad you've used?

I'm sure there are more objectively unfomfortable ones, but the hard edges on the NES controller make my hands turn into mush.

what the FUCK were they thinking

My friend owns a PS3 controller painted on a Messi theme that's just awful to handle... Buttons are that very distinct brand of cheap (you know the one, the kind where buttons don't fully press and then bounce back too lightly) and weight balance is all off, almost as if the electronic components were all front loaded on the shell.

The PS3 controller is uncomfortable af for me personally.
Preach it

I HATED the DualShock 3. It felt flimsy and it's triggers were atrocious. The DualShock 4 was a improvement but I still think Xbox 360 has the best controller.

Although I had a N64 in my childhood, when I tried to use it's controller recently it felt very akward and clunky. Maybe its not meant for a adult hands.

The Dreamcast controller looks cool but has some strange design choices. The lack of a right analogic also don't help. Gotta love the VMU tho

I know it's a cliche at this point, but I always hated the N64 controller. I always used a SuperPad and let my friends use the official ones.

Honeralble mention to this piece of junk PC controller I had back in the 90s. The buttons were too shallow and the directional pad was slippy and unreliable. The removable joystick only made things even worse.

I've always found Dualshock 2 and Sixaxis/Dualshock 3 uncomfortable. Both are small, the pressure sensitive buttons aren't great, and the triggers on PS3 were awful -- though you can buy trigger attachments to improve them.

Also not a fan of the Gamecube controller. The d-pad is trash. My thumb covers the entire thing. Playing THPS is a nightmare with that shit d-pad.

The worst, however, is the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller. This is probably a controversial take. I have both it and the Dualsense Edge. I got both for free from Dell. I prefer the standard controllers over both of them. They're both heavier, something some people may like, but I do not. Additionally, they both have rubber that make your hands sweat. But the thing I hate the most about the Elite Series 2 controller is the d-pad. Both of the attachments are metal and have the feel of scratching a chalkboard. 😬

The most uncomfortable ive ever held was the atari Jaguar controller. To be fair i only used it for about 10-15 mins but goddamn did it suck.

For a more fair answer, as a person with wider hands, id say the switch joy cons. I remember trying to play DBZ xenoverse with some friends in college and it felt like i was giving myself arthritis

i dont know why but the dualshock 4 pisses me off
I'm the same way. It was quite an adjustment from the ps3 controller. DS4 elongated the handles a bit and because of the touchpad it was also slightly wider, which are very minor changes to the controller. But i just did not mesh with it.
