Most Iconic Character that is not the Protagonist

Pray, might I inquire as to which, in your esteemed opinions, is the most distinguished and iconic character within a game one who does not occupy the role of the protagonist, yet perhaps possesses a charm and appeal that surpass even that of the main character? Are there any figures you have encountered in your gaming pursuits whom you found utterly captivating, despite their secondary or minor roles? I eagerly await your most refined and discerning suggestions.

Hmm, I would say Majima from the Yakuza games. Except they gave him his own game so IDK if that counts.

I'd argue that Lucina went on to be a more iconic character for Fire Emblem Awakening then Chrom did, even being the base game Awakening rep in Engage over him. This is despite Chrom actually being the main character.

So true she is Iconic to be honest even more Iconic than her Father in my Opinion.
I personally like Owain he is hilarious at least he was for me back than.
And my most Iconic one is Solaire he feels like a Mc for me

This is a hard one to choose. I think it's a mix of Half-Life, Portal, System Shock, and GTA San Andreas. Half-Life has a few of these, since Gordon doesn't have much of a personality, but the obvious one is Alyx Vance. And portal has GLaDOS. System Shock has Shodan. None of those games have leads with much personality. San Andreas for me has OG Loc, a talentless rapper with a bad habit of plagiarism and phoniness but he's such a hapless, whiny loser who steals every scene he's in. Lazlo in the GTA series is a fun, hopeless loser too.

I would say every Character counts as long as he is not the Main Character,so even a character with the potential of being the Main Character counts,but most Importantly is you must like the character and find them well written or at least likable so what counts as Iconic should be what you consider Iconic yourself :).

Is he not technically the Main Character I mean we did not even save the day Martin did in the end ?.It really was painful to lose him.And I think we are not the MC in Oblivion as we are just a Regular Person a ex prisoner and not just a chosen one wich makes this interesting.But this is just my opinion.

ID, the dark side of Fei from Xenogears is for me the most iconic character. He is also a badass, like a god of destruction in Dragon Ball, that means almost unbeatable. He only wants destruction, man do i love this character... Wish he was playable.
