Need not know.
Hello! Have you play a whole game but never could defeat a specific enemy without getting angry?
Well for example mushroom man in ds1 was one of most annoying enemy in the world! He punch.....just a single punch but this ranged punch is a falcon punch! He throw you away.... have a high poise which make him more annoying.
Or in legend of zelda minish Cap there was a enemy like a fox. This guy stab you with a knife and a lot of your rupes will be lost!
In megaman zero 4 frog is so annoying. You need his parts for a lot of things and he always drop it on water....so it is very hard to get!
I wonder if you have some too!
As always:
I happy to do business.

Not so much a specific enemy, but what I will cite is an specific enemy placement that is annoying: enemies sitting either on a platform's edges or occupying most of the space on said platform to force tricky jumps.

This remind me some platform game which they put enemies on edge. If you want to avoid them you and don't lose your speed you maybe fall down whole area! Worst in tower area!

Any nonstop spawning enemies in NES games really, but yeah the Medusa in Castlevania and the Bird in Ninja Gaiden games are one of the worst

That's true. There's hack that removes enemy respawns from NG1, and it's night and day how much more balanced it becomes, while still remaining challenging.

The Reapers from Athena (Arcade and NES).
They consistently hound you whenever you stay in one part of the screen for too long. And worse, you just can't fucking kill them no matter what. You either finish the stage ASAP or you die to them, there's literally no inbetween and it's what makes Athena absolutely fitting the realm of Nintendo Hard platformers even among others in its peers of their time.

I think the last enemy I’d seriously get annoyed with were the dragons and bandit leaders in Skyrim back in the day, entirely because of the instant auto kill animation if you even got close to them 🥲

Since the Medusa Heads have already been mentioned, I'll add the Flea Men. Not dangerous as such, but man do they get on my nerves.

Good lord, the birds in Ninja Gaiden are the stuff of nightmares!

I would also mention Mega Man 4 when enemies shoot up out of the pits when you try to jump across and you immediatly fall right in.

The Rakks in Borderlands, at least they are quick to kill
Yep, my brain immediately went there too haha, freaking Rakks man. My runner up is another goddamn flying enemy in a different game. The Cliff Racers from Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind. I played through as a melee character... dear god. So annoying. They move in packs, they're super hard to get a hit on, because of how morrowind works, even if you do swing your sword into them it rolls an invisible dice to see if you actually do damage or 'miss'. and their GOD FORSAKEN SCREECHES.

Dragon Quest XI. That optional hard boss fight with the flying shadow enemy that snaps his fingers to summon backup. And the fight is on a timer.

Screw that whole thing.

The other one is at the end of Assassin's Creed 3 when you have to chase after Charles Lee. Get too far behind him? Instant fail. After failing like 50 times I threw my controller so hard it broke.

Darias in Zelda 2
Lizalfos in Skyward Sword
Hammer Bros in Super Mario Bros.
Gorgons in God of War
Clickers in The Last of Us
Artificial Chaos in Sonic Adventure 2

The promethean knights from halo 4 are some of the worst enemies I have ever fought in any fps whatsoever. the fuckers are bullet sponges, teleport when a fly lands on them they teleport, the one hit you if you get within 3 feet, and constantly spawn in these flying enemies that can revive them. They're not fun to fight even with halo 4 overhaul mods as the ai in halo 4 just sucks in general, they just kinda stand there and take it if they cant teleport.

Don't know if this really counts since it's a bossfight, but, whatever. The robots Okumura summons in Persona 5.
Actually add summon by boss fight can be so annoying. I know in re3 readers in nemesis second dogform fight there is 3 annoying enemy and Carlos yell at your ears the numbers! This make them more annoying.
Talking about resident evil remind me enemy with regeneration are worst! Two magnum shot to kill 1 of them???? Crazy!
