Here's my small Romhack pack for MK Genesis/Mega Drive games... for those that want them pre-patched and for those that I can't find the patch for... like that UMK Trilogy 5149. That I also invite to update with that new revision... or at least add it as an extra download. Not sure what changed... maybe it's just bug fixes. it's the revision that Fightcade 2 runs with... and not 5125.

EDIT: I think I'll retract on the UMK Trilogy side-request... because I don't know where they sourced revision and I can't find anywhere, and no one knows what it changes that have showcased it on Youtube... could probably not even exist. So 5125 is fine as it is... as it's also the Retroachievements supported version. The only things left for that side-request is to add a patched version with the extra 3MB patch called "+Tracks" for the added music changes, as an Extra.

Just sharing based on that most of the super ambitious Genesis MK Romhacks are on there, and because MK Arcade Edition Enhanced did get updated with a new upload of 2.2 recently on the main site.

So I'm just putting out the bat signal for these that may have gone under the radar... not assuming that there's anything to do with discretion, but that have just been simply forgotten or just not known about.

For example, this Revelations Romhack is REALLY old... and it hasn't gotten an update since its 1.0 release for like 10+ years... so I think for this specific one, I think it's more of a flying under the radar of sorts... lol!

Also because it seems that UMK Trilogy Romhack seems to get a lot more buzz but there are a lot of differences between the two.

Anyhow, bat signal has been put out... and shared here if they don't get posted on the main site with the rest of them either because this thread gets drowned/forgotten or because of not caring to post in the main site. Lmao!

I think MK Trilogy is the better one of the two... but Revelations is kind of technical marvel of a massive UMK3 romhack still. So yeah, I would recommend these over vanilla UMK3 Genesis/MD. Either of them.

The pack I'm sharing also holds, MK2 Unlimited & MK1 Arcade Edition Enhanced 2.2... would recommend to try them all. They're just better than the OG releases with all the extra content in them.

Ultimate Mortal Kombat Trilogy isn't an official release on the Genesis.

It's a mod of UMK3 for the Genesis, that puts a cast larger and in terms of characters featured make it more fitting of a Trilogy game because it has pretty much a more vast variation of MK1 & MK2 characters... including bosses.

Like MK Trilogy PS1/Saturn/PC (Official Release) has MK1 Raiden + Kano & MK2 Jax + Kung Lao... it expands on that, with extras.

This UMK Trilogy in the pack, isn't based on official MK Trilogy nor a Romhack of it... again, it's a Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 mod/romhack called "Ultimate Mortal Kombat Trilogy", and it's for the genesis.


Hopefully that makes it clearer.

Not too bad for a UMKT Romhack although it comes from UMK3 (MD/GEN Base Game) but has Quan Chi as a playable character at least.
