To me Mortal Kombat died the day Netherrealm announced that Goro would be a day 1 dlc in X. I was beyond pissed at the time and I still have an axe to grind with them over that. But hey, it sounds like a cool thing for the people who enjoy the new installments.

I like X, but honestly, 11 and 1 no, not to mention that they are always online, and the amount of DLC and paying a lot for a fighting game is complicated, especially when it's always online. Honestly, I pass. Mortal Kombat for me is on PS2. In old Mortal Kombat games you had to play to unlock the characters, not buy them.

That may be more in line to keep it from being confused with Mortal Kombat 11. But again, big game companies do think little of their player base, so you may be right

Yeah, I bought the "Komplete" edition whenever after it came out. It had all the DLC from the get go. It wasn't worth the 25 bucks I paid for it at the time

As for MK vs DC, I call that "Baby's First Mortal Kombat" due to how family friendly it is, even with Scorpion's fatalities. I mean come on man. He's a hell spawn ninja from, well hell, who rips his face off and burns people to ash with said hellfire. Family friendly MK isn't or Wasn't ayhow
