More guilds?

We have the writers guild which consists of people who write articles/game reviews now there is people who can do hacks (mods but more fancy word really) and artists who can draw!

My suggestion is making a modders guild with people who can publish their mods in the repo.

And artists guild consisting of the site artists.

This would help in knowing who can help you with hacks , art etc

A more of a less significant suggestion is hardcore guild which is made up by gamers who have a lot of knowledge in a variety of games if its to be taken into consideration there better be a set of standards to join it like amount of games played etc i will leave this for the staff to decide the hardcore guild rules for joining.

We could benefit from more guilds , makes the site more unique right? What do you think?

They made repo curators for people who post on the repository , artists guild also became a thing but under a different name for musicians and translators that's a good idea

Probably about like implementing the Writers Guild badge, moderator badge, etc. I don't know if that requires specialized code or not, or just a box spike or whoever ticks, but from what I've seen, everything you want added here costs money. Not because Spike is greedy, but because the guy who writes and implements the code for the board, so fork the batbuck's over, I'm guessing, if you want them.

I have nothing against this type of content but, RGT isn't 4chan, iFunny, or Reddit and I think encouraging and supporting the frequent creation of shitposts (which is what will happen with the creation a Guild) is beyond the scope of this forum.

But that's just my opinion.

Actually I agree with this. There's enough shitposting as is... we don't need more of it.
It's fun from time to time, but giving people a reason to do it would make things ten times or more worse. Hell, a lot of the threads are shitposts, mainly the forum games one, but I digress.

I do like the other guild ideas though. But like @Waffles said, I have no idea how they would do it.
And, like @Morgana Veil said, I know I’ve seen Spike talk about everything made for the forum costing money for the coders to make it.

And if it breaks something well.... you're Shit Outta Luck and Jolly Well Fucked and on your own.

I have no experience with XenForo (never heard of it tbh), and don'thave a lot of free time but maybe i can help with the coding part. I just don't know how to contact Spike.

Well Spike is fairly busy all the time with work and real life.
He more or less can't be contacted aside from the staff, as i understand it <which I fully understand>
Contact one of the other mods, and they will pass a message along to him.

Interesting idea but I don't think something like that will happen.
