Missing Front Mission lately.

Earlier this year I played Front Mission the 1st on steam and had a great time with it. So I went back to FM3, which is great to play on a PSP btw, and then of course to FM4 which I usually emulate because you can get the graphics looking pretty good with a few tweaks. That reminded me of Front Mission Evolved and how much I hated what they did to that series. (even though I had to finish the game) And just when it looks like Front Mission has been forgotten, there's a FM3 remake coming Jan 30th! So happy new year to that!

However I still wish a new, true to form entry to the series would get made! Super Robot Wars and Amoured Core/Mechwarrior are great but just not the same experience.

Front Mission 3 is next to be remade. I have both but haven't played yet.

I hope Front Mission Alternative for the PS2 gets an actual fan translation at some point in the next decade. I want to play that game so badly.

Also for fans of the series - Front Mission 3 (PSX) is now supported on RetroAchievements so if you're into that sort of thing it might be worth checking out.
