Finally, I want to care about Sylux. It would be awesome to get another cool Metroid villain, and after Raven Beak stole the show with very little screen time, Sylux has a lot to live up to.

well sylux does have the advantage of being an already established character, even if his only appearances are in prime hunters and a cameo in federation farce

While a more open design fits Metroid more than other game series, I’m worried about this being a continued direction beyond this game. Not every title needs an open world, especially when most of them struggle to answer the question: what do we put in one to make it worth your time?

My main hope is that the cool psychic stuff can blend puzzles and action together, as that was an issue in later Prime games. Many abilities would be either exclusively for combat or exclusively for puzzles, and ultimately neither side would benefit from divorcing the other.

it is might be lot alike to prime first reveal, nobody thought that metroid will be first person shooter, but as people play, they are playing the same with 2D, albeit with 3D camera, but the game still feels like 2D because of the control at the time. and lot of people who never wants to play first person shooter, can play with enjoyment (2nd analog is still alien at the time for most people)

so this open structure, could be something else, we need to wait and see it first.

I had no interest in Metroid Prime 4 since I finally played the Remaster of the first game like 2 years ago and it didn't really vibe with me. But I have to say the trailer they showed for 4 really grabbed my interest even though I never beat 1 or played the other 2. If I find an opening in my play log I might consider picking it up

Not fan of the empty looking spaces. Metroid is also about claustrophobia.

If I wanted to go fast they should've added the Speed Booster.

I suspect this will used in only one or two areas either for fast traversal or a boss fight, but we'll see

But Samus on a Tron light cycle has me interested
