NES mega man 2 is fun but..

so recently i got a copy of a modded version of mega man 2 and i find something hard since i'm using an emulator and the mod seems to left out some things in the game, i was wondering if someone could tell me the controls, yes i tried using google, chat gpt, reddit, trying every combination but it doesn't do anything other than shoot and jump, for example i want to apply flash man's weapon for quick man's levels to freeze the lazers but whenever i try the combination for activating the time stopper it does nothing. what am i doing wrong?

i know some of you ask "why are you using the nintendo fourms if it's a modded copy of the game?" well my friend the problem is i never keep up with nes and its games like it has s et of unique collaction of cheats and combiations and i think it's less pipular to find these types of codes

Megaman 2 only has two buttons, A (Jump) and B (Shoot).
You need to pause the game and activate Flash Man's weapon in the list, then his weapon is mapped to your Shoot button (powers replace shooting entirely while active).
If the bar next to your lifebar is empty, you're out of ammo and you'll have to pick up those blue capsule-looking items to restore weapon energy.

On top of that, I also have to point out that Time Stopper is continuous. You can't attack with it, stop it, or swap during it.
