I asked myself the same question when I first played it, Unfortunately I gameovered in world 2 and didn't see the ending but from what saw there was no reason for the nudity (other than fan service I guess) it's just a platformer.

That's a shame, would be really easy to put something in there like, she left civilization to live in the woods and now that she's going to rejoin society it's infested with monsters, kinda seems to almost imply that.

An actual reason for the nakedness would make it a lot more fun.
