So let's talk about the best gift the far east even brought us: Kung-Fu movies (and I suppose tv shows too). Of course "Enter The Dragon" is an obvious given (with TMNT 1990, Mortal Kombat 1995, and the 3 Ninjas movies probably right behind it). Others that I've watched and enjoyed are Sonny Chiba's "The Street Fighter" movies, "Breathing Fire", "Bloodsport", "Shaolin Soccer", "The Legend Of The Drunken Master", "Spiritual Kung-Fu", "The Last Dragon", and "Kung Pow: Enter The Fist"
I've also got quite the boatload of them on DVD (love me some Bargin DVDs, you just can't beat a cheap thrill)

Gotta appreciate Jackie Chan for that but even his movies are not the best ones around!!!

For example I like Ip-Man series a lot because how brutal it can be even without being gore like Mortal Kombat... you just gotta see it lol:

Although I like Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung and Jet Li party and other movies from other countries I have to say my favourite ones are Ip Man. Each movie is a delight and I recommend all of them :)

EDIT: I forgot, if you talk about stupid movies, there is one spanish movie about karate that is hilarious mixed with ultra low budget. I had to buy it when I saw it on a second hand store.

I believe it will be very difficult to find it in internet with its english subtitles, but it has them because in the DVD says so.

Now we're talking! Been a martial arts/film fanatic since Kindergarten. Here are some of my picks as the best of the best out there:

Clan of the White Lotus
Executioners from Shaolin
36th Chamber of Shaolin
8 Diagram Pole Fighter
The Chinese Boxer
Mad Monkey Kung Fu
The New One Armed Swordsman
Martial Arts of Shaolin
My Young Auntie
Heroes of the East
Fist of Fury
Game of Death(With the newly discovered footages, and real sound effects implemented)
Game of Death 2
The Young Master
Knockabout
The Prodigal Son

Police Story 1 and 2
Project A
Wheels on Meals
Heart of the Dragon
Angry Ranger
Dragons Forever
Tiger Cage 2
Yes Madam
Millionaire's Express
Miracles
Angel

Fist of Legend
Iron Monkey
Once Upon A Time in China 1-3 plus the spin off with Gordon Liu
Fong Sai Yuk 1-2
Tai Chi Master
Wing Chun

I'll just stop there. I can go on forever.

From all the films I've seen, my top 3 would be:

Tai Chi Master(Wire fu at it's best. Li, and Woo Ping at their best. Great cast. GOAT soundtrack)

Iron Monkey(Wire Fu and Woo Ping doing their magic once again. Another all-star cast)

The Young Master. The greatest showcase of how a lower-level fighter overcome an elite one caught on film. The final 20 or so minutes of the final battle is worth it alone.

Happy viewing.

It's nice to see Shuma Gorath getting work
Actually, I believe that creature is inspired in Kathulhu as it comes from the sea, but I remember Shuma Gorath in Marvel vs Street Fighter was broken. It was the only one that could take half lifebar from Mech Gouki from his special attack :D

This is awesome, my favorites are all there and many i dont know and just added to my to watch list.
Thank you Shifu

There's a great youtube channel for genre lovers

Do you consider samurai movies part of this genre, if yes I'm rather fond of the Kurosawa/Mifune titles.
I liked Shunichi Nagasaki Kuro obi... A god mix of Martial Arts philosophy and more grounded combat.

If we can also add stupid funny movies that have martial art scenes then my favorite lol:

Memes from this movie is way more known than the movie itself!!!

As long as it's dudes beating up other dudes (women too), it's all good in my book

And how many of you have witnessed the awe and majesty of Pierre Kirby?

Bloodsport is such a great comfort movie. I've seen it a dozen times since I first watched it a few years ago and it's definitely in my top fifty now.

I love Shaolin Soccer.

I was able to find a DVD of this movie back in 2002, so bizarrely awesome.

Took me forever to find a copy of this film (both online or offline) and really enjoyed it

Ah, it was a good summer movie so hard me and my buddies played soccer on a beach... then we learned what Kojiro Hyuga from Captain Tsubasa felt and why it was a hard thing to train soccer on a damn beach!!! lolol
