Dude, Most, if not all farm animals, are cannibals, chickens and ducks sometimes break their eggs to eat doesn't matter if they are fertilized or not, pigs kill their infants and eat them, if a cow die in front of the others, they step on her corpse as they would step if it was a rock or a bush and I guarantee you, if they liked something made out of their meat, if they were knowing that, they would eat 100%.

Also, it is game, an abstraction of reality, the cow eating hamburger is the same as any other character, when someone sees that, they are like, yeah, it would be weird if it was real, but meh, btw, it is from the same franchise about a guy killing turtles by stepping on them, eating mushrooms (power ups with your mushrooms friends (toads) while he can be killed if he touches another type of mushrooms (goombas)
