You are thrown into cruel world and unlike Dark Souls games you cannot grind EXP to "get good" as it's not "skill issue". There is no importance of players' learning curve, you gotta make your "nobody" character into a survivor. However my best example of how these games are is, learning skills like Breath of Fire 4 in The Elder Scrolls Morrowind like game but it's cruel as much as Way of the Samurai games can be while you kinda have Star Wars KOTOR-like enjoying characters fun.
