Big Boxes. They're a classic PC gamer's best friend. They're the stuff that dreams are made of. Whether you're a big time collector, just starting out, or feeling nostalgic for items of collections past, I want you to drop your fave Big box below.

My only big box anymore is Ripper for PC. Its an FMV Thriller/Adventure game with a bunch of famous people in it and was a gift from my partner, which is why its on my shelf and not in a charity shop like Theme Hospital lmao

I have some loose cases of pc games about but this freespace 2 is the only big box I still have intact I think. I haven't even played it but I hear it's supposed to be pretty good.
I do wish big boxes for pc games were still a thing but digital distribution is just way too convenient.

Space Quest series is pretty great, though I dunno if I've ever seen a physical copy in the wild before.

I've always wanted to get really into a good space/combat sim but keep bouncing off the classics. Gonna make another of my yearly tries with WC: Privateer soon mostly likely.

PHOTOS FROM INTERNET, NOT MINE

I used to own these two beauties ::heart
FF8 my very first rpg and almost my very first videogame, no need to comment it, The Longest Journey a random discovery, and a wonderful one (I recommend it to anyone who loves point-and-click adventures with a deep story, it's on Steam)

I actually love The Longest Journey, it was one of my partner's favorite games growing up so its cool to hear from someone else who loves it! I still need to play the second one, though I did play Dreamfall: Chapters.

I'd very much like to collect a few that I really like, like the King's Quest 6 box, Monkey Island 1 and 2 and the Diablo boxes, but they take up so much space that I've never really pursued any of them, and the Diablo ones tend to be really expensive.

The only one I own is "Half-Life Generation" and it's kind of bland-looking.

I got my MacPlay and LucasArts boxes. :) Had em since the 90s. All except for one that i found decades later in a dollar store of all places. It was Castles Siege and Conquest. For some crazy reason, the place had boxes and boxes of the game. I only bought one because it was all i needed. Tried it out too. Worked fine on my old Power Mac. That music got stuck in my head after a few hours because it's the only theme and it loops. It almost sounds like Greensleeves.

I've often found that certain older games relied on slightly altered classical pieces for the music. Sometimes I wonder if its just that some of these smaller dev teams didn't have a dedicated music guy, so tweaked publicly available midis or something to make it easier on themselves.

I always wanted to get my hands on a PC Big Box of Uninvited from the MacVentures series, but I've had to settle for digital copies thus far.

Sure let’s talk about em
