I found the movie to be a pleasant surprise on the whole. I went in with a bit of skepticism as someone that actually did like Part 1 of 28 Years (outside of the ending), but it thankfully did build on quite a lot of plot elements from the first. The relationship with Dr Kelson and Samson in particular was fantastic, I loved that way more than expected and the actors absolutely crushed it, ironically it ended up outshining the Jimmy plot for me. Not that it was bad, it was still enjoyable and those actors still did a great job, but it was hard to dissociate from their ridiculous introduction in part 1 to their portrayal in Bone Temple as a group of impulsive psychopaths led by a cult leader that's really just improving it.

Only one thing that I was a bit disappointed by the movie was the camera work, it felt a bit more flat or static compared to some of the weird bullet time shots in part 1 or the beautifully shot chase sequence with Spike and his dad trying to outrun an Alpha. But the more it simmers in my brain the more I love both of these films, really hope we get a part 3.
