Ask Me Anything
You've mentioned earlier in the thread your least favorite movie genre, so I'll ask the opposite - what's your favorite genre? Also, do you have any favorite movies or TV shows? If so, what are a few of them?

As for games, what are some recent game releases that you have enjoyed? By recent, I mean anything PS3 or later, I guess. These can be fighters or non-FG related.

I haven't checked movies in a while, but I do have some favorites, mostly crime thrillers. Seven, The Departed, Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans (my favorite Nicolas Cage movie), The Dark Knight. As for TV shows, I kinda don't watch them for the same reasons I never touched anime. I can't watch anything episodic to save my life, lol. There is a Mexican comedy TV show that's super popular in Brazil called El Chavo del Ocho, which I really like, because it's one of those where there's not really a timeline, you can just pick whatever you want and watch it from there.

As for recent games, I checked a lot more FPS games than I expected. Never was a big FPS guy, but this might change. Metro Last Light, Half Life 2, Doom 2016, Quake 2, the list goes on. I'm currently doing an all secrets playthrough on Tomb Raider 3 Remastered and once I'm done with that, I might pay a visit to the Resident Evil games I have. I always enjoyed them ever since childhood and it's been a hot minute since I touched them.

I'm less of a TV show person as well, so I can understand where you're coming from on that front.

If you were to recommend any two RE games, what would they be, and why? I ask as it is one of the few Capcom franchises that I haven't yet checked out. Additionally, have you played any of the Silent Hill games, and if so, what are your thoughts on them?

As cliché as it sounds, I'd recommend Resident Evil 1 and 4 (not the remakes).

They're very different from each other and that's kind of the point. RE1 isn't too complicated for a survival horror game and if you do well in it, you'll do well for 2 and 3. I love RE1 Remake but it's hard as fuck though, hard to recommend for a first time player, lol.

As for RE4, even though it's far from my favorite, it's a good showing of modern RE, not only the PS2/3 era, but the remakes who take inspiration from it. There's a damn good reason Capcom has been trying to recapture this game's success for 20 years now.

As for Silent Hill, I played most of them. 1 is alright except for a puzzle or two, 2 is undeniably the best in the series. Great story but not too challenging, it's a good entry level game if you wanna check the series, can't recommend enough. (I heard the remake is good, so there is that). SH3 is a bit on the harder side but also good, SH4 is a VERY experimental game, the worlds, the apartment, the ghosts, it's not easy either but I appreciate the creativity. Origins is where things get messy, QTEs, ridiculous levels of backtracking, and Homecoming was the nail in the coffin, lol.
