I haven't played it, but this fighting game doesn't look bad.

the only game i know that is similar is Thrill Kill which came out later in 1998, odd indeed

A game similar to this is Battle Monsters for the Sega Saturn.
but thats because it was made by the same developer.
But instead of a 3D fighter, its a 2D fighter using digitized picture sprites (like Mortal Kombat and Terrordrome).
Even has another Frankenstein like character only his name is Deathmask.

As for Thrill KIll, I'd say that Wu-Tang Shaolin Style for PS1 would be the most similar.

I remember playing this as kid, hearing the announcer saying, "Beat you Up!!!" sounds " Eat You Up !!!" LOL

Anything from Naxat is worth a look... but this is definitely from that period where they were chasing popular trends rather than a few years prior when they were creating classics.
