Jim Ward, a voice you may recognize in some of your favorite childhood films and video games, has passed away at 66, after a hard fought battle with Alzheimer's disease.
He provided the voices of Dimsdale's Finest news anchor Chet Ubetcha as well as Doug Dimmadome. You know, Doug Dimmadome? Owner of the Dimsdale Dimmadome?

As for gaming, he was the strong, bold, brave, and dashingly handsome heroic Intergalactic Hero: Captain Qwark of Ratchet and Clank.

Rest in peace, Captain. Your mission is now complete.

RIP Jim Ward (1959-2025)

Ward’s passing was reported by his radio colleague Stephanie Miller, who said she had been emailed by his wife with the news that he had died earlier that morning. For me personally, Ratchet & Clank played a big part in my childhood, and hearing this news not only shocked me, it broke my heart...
