yeah your right, I tried itI haven't played the original game but I've seen comments in this thread that the Dreamcast version is based on the OpenJazz version which is an open-source version of the original game and is infamously known for its broken physics, inaccurate hitboxes and a variable frame rate that doesn't stay at 60 FPS but between 55 or 56 and doesn't match well with the original MS-DOS version. But graphically it's on par with the MS-DOS version and that's fine at least.
Huh... OpenJazz used to have "broken" physics, so if this is based on OpenJazz then it won't "play" or "feel" like the original DOS game at all :(
looks like that in fact it's a OpenJazz portif it's openjazz, i can tell you it's trash.
broken physics, inaccurate hitboxes and half of the options don't work.
real hardware or emulating on dosbox are the only ways to play jazz jackrabbit correctly.
