Possibly people are quite aware of this Genre, because of other Goth-like bands. Some maybe not known and known within the Goth and Punk like; 80's Bauhaus, Second Still, 1988's Red Temple Spirits, Molchat Doma, Human Tetris, French Police... The ones I'm bringing up in this Post are some 80's Japan artist, that many may or may not know, or talk about. When it pertains to this genre, do y'all know of any? Maybe some local to you that never made it out, internationally because it is in physical copies. I know some people like this Genre a lot, so I decided to make a post about it. Anime has had plenty of it as well.

Malice Mizer's Discography & their Bara no Seidou Album:

I recall reading somewhere that the Malice Mizer member, Gackt, possibly worked on Video Game Soundtracks. Maybe y'all know more. I know he was in other games like FF7's Genesis Rhapsodos & PS2 Bujingai. Here is some info I'd found:

What are y'alls thoughts on all of this?

I remember listening to Malice Mizer quite a long time ago, I really like the Baroque style of their songs.

After Gackt left they were a bit less good but I do enjoy some of their post-Gackt era songs.

I don’t want to be too pedantic because I love Hanatarash and Eye but they were clearly a noise band. Different lineage from post-punk.
The follow up band Boredoms definitely has some post-punk, proto-Punk and new wave influences though, albeit put through a blender. Their discography is wild, just creativity unleashed. My favorite album of theirs is probably chocolate synthesizer.

Fun fact, there’s a videogame connection here. Yamantaka Eye also did vocals for John Zorn‘s Naked City which has been used as background music for a couple of Sega ads in the mid-90s. This track is famous for its use in the Haneke film Funny Games:

People who correctly love the pillows should check out Mass of the fermenting dregs:

Yeah I’d totally be down for that. I love hearing a familiar genre coming from a different background and perspective.
