That never gets old. I guess if we are going to be somewhat pedantic about this, maybe we could consider the N64DD games? but they aren't really worth the trouble.

There actually aren't a ton of noteworthy JP-only N64 games, but the Virtual Pro Wrestling ones are supposedly really good if you're into AKI-style wrestling games. Personally I've always wanted to try Dezaemon 3D, the build-your-own-shmup game.

The Evangelion game only came out in JP. If you're into trains, Densha De Go is pretty neat.

I really recommend N64GlennPlant's Japanese Eye series, as he not only reviews Japanese-exclusive N64 games, but also tells you how hard they are to play without knowing the language.

Not too surprising as it didn’t do that well in Japan. It was outperformed by the Saturn of all things.

it might be a bit of a stretch but the mario artist games on 64DD are really cool, especially polygon studio. i've shilled those a couple of times on this board at this point though, soooo...

the original animal crossing, doubutsu no mori, is pretty interesting on n64! it's severely lacking a lot of the big staples of animal crossing, (the museum, the able sisters, a few house upgrades...) so it feels kind of underbaked in a lot of ways, but it's still a pretty nifty piece of history.

uhhh... yeah, that's all i got unforch. pretty much, just check out the 64DD, it's got a handful of pretty cool games.
