You shouldn't feel guilty for using the tools at your disposal. ChatGPT is excellent for that sort of thing. You can get general advice on how to structure your story, have it correct grammar and spelling, help flesh out themes, and most importantly bounce ideas off it. Things you would spend hours, days, weeks, even months researching can all be decondensed into easy to digest information in a conversational structure. Just don't have it write the story for you. In a sense it's like feeling guilty for using a word processor over a stone tablet and chisel.
