basically my playstation 2 converter will just not stop flashing both of the red light when i try to plug a controller also the controller not so used and had same model better condition than and my buggy controller and won't even register the buggy controller but register anyone know the reason.?
Or i might be dumb.
also if you say you used the wrong version of the controller i have checked both of them and the both of them were A,

If you can, post a picture of this converter, and this might help narrow down the behavior you are experiencing.

if flashes in both lights btw

If I remember right, only the light of the port you are using on he converter should be on.

doesn't work it just keeps flashing in both lights
and when it does the light on the right port it just turns off
should i just try to clean the plug

That's a good idea. See if you can hold the converter against a light source and if the just is visible. I advise a soft cloth. Make sure not to dampen it with anything, also, keep it dry.

Perhaps the drivers for the converter need to be updated or installed?

Has the converter worked in the past?

If it is the same one I'm thinking it uses no drivers, sadly.

oh. no wonder why it has a part missing in the plug::hellmo

The port is damaged? on which side?

the plug on the controller shows the metal

whatever.

Yeah, it's not a good sign. I'd get a new converter if you can. You might be risking even getting shocked if things go awry.

I don't know if you are willing to buy a new, non-PS2 controller, but I've had a Dualshock 4 for many years now and the only maintenance it had to get is exchanging the sticks once. It's very sturdy.

Or, you could go for a Xbox One controller, too. It's very well built, I just don't prefer it.
