I'm not considering it until there are way more games that are way more attractive to me than what they've shown so far. But I don't mind waiting, I have gorillions of games to play in the meantime.

Only if you already own a bunch of Switch 1 games. The performance boost seems pretty nice.

If you don't have a Switch 1, then maybe. I've seen videos about the huge difference in loading times for games like Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, where not only is the loading screen much faster, but the transition from the sky to earth and then to the underground isn't slowed down at all. Now, in the case of someone that is in the same situation as me, where I had to pay a lot in order to get an older Switch 1 three years ago in a poor country where video games are only sold on the black market, then I'll say no and recommend buying a Switch 1 instead.

Plays games at a better frame rates
Supports multi platform XBOX/PS5/AAA Games out of the box
Has insane backwards compatibility due to steam being arround for 21 years
has limitless expandable memory
Can work with any blutooth controller you find preferable
Can be docked without needing to buy a dock
Runs linux so if you want freedom its all yours
Comparable battery life to the switch
And if you like emulation its capable of playing every Nintendo game every made for free.
Yes that will includes the Switch 2 within the next 12 months considering how current Switch emulation is efficient and stable.
Emulation is inevitable.

Buy a steamdeck.

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain myself correctly (it usually happens wtf). I meant Steamdeck is not going to emulate Switch 2 ever. You will have to buy a Steamdeck 2 or any other device with a more powerful CPU and GPU to be able to emulate Switch 2 at native resolution (1080p?) with a decent stable framerate.

I think by then, you will be better get one Switch 2 second hand for 200€ and modchip it :)

Right now I do not believe the Nintendo Switch 2 is worth it. I recall the Xbox 360 and how the early ones caught on fire. I'm not saying that this will happen with the Switch 2 but I'm sure there will be bugs. Bugs that will need to be fixed. Plus, the price is way too high.

Personally not, even if it were at a lower pricepoint. But, I'm glad it's out there for people who want it. It'll take a title that really clicks with me in order for me to even consider it, but I haven't seen that yet. Last time around, it was Animal Crossing. This time, I don't think even that is going to be enough of a pull.
