For a 1993 NES title, those graphics are absolutely horrendous. Indy's reddish brown sprite never changes and he's got this modern "Paper Mario"-esque outline around him at all times. The backgrounds are (mostly) monochromatic and dull. It's just as bad as most "Radical Entertainment" games for the system like "Wayne's World" or "Rocky & Bullwinkle".
