Because they weren't making absolute bank immediately, they started absolutely [B]gutting[/B] their staff. People that had been part of Smite for years, gone. Important members of the community, gone. All of this, plus poor monetization and a lack of response to an ever-growing toxic player base, has led me to one of my longest hiatuses from the game. I may not go back this time, who knows? I really like Smite for what it could be, but it doesn't look like Hi-Rez is ever going to really tap into all that tasty potential. [/QUOTE]
