We've lost so many great rom sites that please try not to be disheartened by stuff that really has nothing to do with game preservation. Your work is very important to many of us.

This was the situation I was really hoping not to happen and trying to prevent; sadly, both sides have their agenda(s), they deem their agenda(s) more important than the site and put the mods between a rock and a hard place: side with one, piss off the other

I feel like this is as cut-and-dry a case of someone deserving to get banned as there can be. There's a difference between having an opinion on something others don't agree with, than just flagrantly being an asshole and breaking the first three rules of the site simultaneously. If he really wanted to keep the site just about video games like he claimed multiple times in defence, then to me he just wouldn't have said anything about the article and moved on.
