Let's say you fall in the middle of your favorite RPG with your *actual* skillset (i.e what you have already mastered - or are at least good at - in real life). How well would you fare?

Would you become a...

Blacksmith?

Hunter?

Farmer?

Bard?

Wandering minstrel?

Shop/innkeeper?

Pickpocket/criminal?

Something else entirely?

I think I'd claim the title of Lovely Street Urchin™ xD

the world of Moon: RPG Remix Adventure offers quite a interesting inception, since the game already has you falling into the middle of it's world already ::sailor-embarrassed

Outside of what the actual protag does though, I think I would have adored to have been a poet who constantly wanders Moon-World itself for things to write about, I certainly don't think there's any lacking inspiration in that beautiful game filled with so much wonder.

And then, a writer! Maybe the protag, or the boy in this instance, finds pages of my book scattered across the game and eventually finds out something about the world itself? I love it when games do that.

I even like the mystery of the idea that the writer behind these books (me in this instance) is someone you never meet, but maybe there's a in-game system where you exchanged letters with me as a video game character.

Good thing one of my favourite jRPGs is Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. A chunk of it takes place in Hawaii so I just need to brush my resume to work at the local pawn shop.

Just a normal guild receptionist with normal live and no overtime whatsoever. The good shit. Hopefully there will be no TikToker-equivalent in this RPG world.

I am good at cooking, so I'd probably be the NPC that opens a tavern where the main party gets quests.

Cannot be sure which can be my fave, so I'll cite 2:

Trad JRPG - Lufia 2: First Aider turned apothecary (I am a former nurse and I also can plant) or hunter/monster hunter just like Maxim (know some stuff myself, from basic hunting, trad MA and military stuff courtesy of relatives formerly in the service)

Action-RPG - Steambot Chronicles/Bumpy Trot: prolly a city delivery guy on a bike (safer and not illegal 😜); the funds I've saved I'll invest in stocks

EDIT: Can Rune Factory be considered an RPG as well? If yes, then I am really torn...

Management RPG - Rune Factory series: farmer; I'll prolly beg the person who gives the protag his new farm for some land to farm...
