Might be a pretty random question. Thought it would be a neat discussion, maybe share a few ideas.
I especially like doing this while its raining outside. Its very calming, makes me sleep like a rock. Probably not a good idea to leave my PS2 running until morning, though.

Its a Saturday evening. You idly scan your room. You either cant sleep, or are just looking for something to do before you conk out. Eventually, for whatever reason it may be, you decide to boot up the (insert game console or emulator) and play a game while laying in bed.
Whats your game of choice?

Oddly enough, Diablo. Any of them, really. Most ARPGs soothe me, I don't know why. I get really chill and calm down and the constant gameplay loop kinda.....bores me but in a good way, and I start getting heavy eyes.

Yeah I'm weird.

You're not weird at all lmao, I feel you. Reminds me of Monster Hunter, the gameplay loop of hunting the same monster is quite chilling

Oh, you know what? Play With the Teletubbies on PS1. The place they live is really mellow and the activities turn off in two minutes, so if you fall asleep it'll end on its own.

Teletubbies are ungodly abominations. I don't want them in the same room I'm sleeping.

The simple answer would be none, since anything that demands your brain's attention on the level a game does will interfere with sleeping but... fine, I'll play along.

Most likely something with soft music and relatively low motor demands like Kirby would probably work, or maybe a chill kind of base building game.

Dark Cloud maintains a laid-back gameplay loop revolving around resource management, weapon synthesis and town-building that's very easy to pick up and put away if you have at least an hour to spare. The soundtrack and UI sfx immediately put me in a comfy trance, even if a fire hydrant were to explode outside our house.

It has its quirks and moderate frustrations, I just choose to block them out completely and leave you with a completely biased review. :V
