Well you might say why, my chrome book has a SD card slot and I wanted to download some PS2 game wail I do my work. (is a win, win) but to find out there is a rubber pecs blocking it so I try to get it put (does not work) so the next say when I get to school I grab my repair tools and take it apart. (just the back plate and the mother bored) then I see that there is NOT SD card reader to begin with to I get mad there wall I put it back to get her the teacher comes over and says "what are you doing" I reply with "nothing" then she leens over and sees my Chromebook and is like "you better put that back" and then I say that's what I'm doing and then 5 min later (I have one connector to lock in place be for I can put the screws in the mother bored) and then she comes over at says "stop right now" and Im like "why I'm putting it back together" then she looks at the computer and grabs it and reply "I see you just playing with it" I'm just sitting there next to my (computer nerd??) friend that says "no I just saw him put it all of it back" then the teacher cuts him off with "well *just putting this so you know who she talking about* bobmeboi is not supposed to take this apart any way" to make a long story short I got in trouble and my parents are problem going to pay 50-200 for "putting back to gather" idk

ill probably put more later, bye

Remember how we talked about not doing dumb stuff? Let's go over a little more advice:
  • Do not try to hack or mod your school computer. It is not your property, and you will get in trouble.
  • Do not download/upload copyrighted material to your school computer without an educational excuse granted by a teacher. It is not your property, and you will get in trouble.
  • Do not argue that you can fix your school computer. That's a job for the operations/IT department. It is not your property, and you will get in trouble.
  • Do not claim to be doing nothing when you obviously are doing something. You'll annoy the teacher, which increases the chances you will get in trouble.
  • Don't cite your friend to back up the above. He's a child; no adult thinks he's credible. (Credibility won't be available until you're at least 17, and only for a very limited amount of subjects.) You might even get him in trouble.

That's actually really solid advise.

One dude I used to know got in SO MUCH TROUBLE for messing with his school-issued laptop.

From how you write, I get the feeling you really shouldn't do all of that with your school computers. That you got caught is another sign.

When I was in school, we did a bunch of stuff with our school laptops and never got in trouble. You know why? Because we always knew what we were doing and the teachers knew, we knew, and that we wouldn't let any of that have an impact on our class work. We installed DOSBOX and played DOOM on the projector during breaks or I'd write my notes in portable CMD VIM. Stuff like that. Nobody every cared.

What teachers do care about is if you can't revert any changes back to what they expect in less than a second or otherwise disrupt lessons. Why would you think taking a laptop apart, that isn't yours, would be a good idea? Just hope that your IT guy is nice enough to explain you didn't damage anything, in case you didn't do any damage.

On a more serious note, don't take any of the advice here about ways to get around the school's rules. You do not want the IT department noticing you are on RGT and unwanted attention being lobbed at this website because you didn't think about what you are doing (or because you took bad advice from people here who are also not thinking things through). We don't need problems here because one member isn't mature enough to be responsible.

Get your own computer and use it at home on your own connection for whatever personal stuff you want.

trust me Im not going around saying I can do this because some person said that on RGT plus I'm taking almost all the advice with a grain of sail *or whatever they say*

i'd say leave the school laptop alone and put a new laptop or computer on your wishlist for birthday or christmas. they most likely just get standard or cheap ones for the students to use. you're better off with your own, which you can customize and deck out to your hearts content. all of the websites that you like bookmarked on your browser, shortcuts on your taskbar and desktop to the more, actually important programs that you use and like.
even if you succeeded in your endeavor, it's the school's computer. you have to give that back at the end of the year, right? they would just clear out all of the stuff that you put on or installed. your hard work just disappears in an instant. a real life hakai. as if lord beerus himself did the job.
