Short story, I have an exam in a week, and I got tired after 2 hours of studying... And I want to rest and play some games, so give me some of y'all's action PS2 recommendations. Any action games will do.

- the pop games
- re4
- zone of the enders 2
- bujingai
- swords of destiny
- viewtiful joe
- the bouncer
- urban reigns
- psi ops
- rise of the kasai

⭕ Red Dead Revolver - Fun, fairly short ps2 third person shooter. Short levels, fun "showdowns".

⭕ Seconding (thirding?) God Hand - fun action, cheeky humor and you can play it in manageable bits and save easily between sections so it also accommodates short gameplay sessions if you don't want to invest a lot of time into a single session.
⭕ Mortal Kombat : Shaolin Monks. Fun beat 'em up with gory effects. Dabbled with this recently and it seems very promising .
⭕
Dynasty Warriors 3 . Fun power-fantasy where you get to cut down a lot of enemy hordes and be the savior of the battlefield among famous chinese heroes of the Three Kingdoms era. The other DW / Musou games are probably decent too, but this one I put the most time into.
⭕The Punisher . Fun, cathartic third person shooter where you mow through various punks, gangsters and the like. Dunno how it compares now, but I recall it being very fun.

That was my thought. Since OP is tired of studying, they probably want a game you don't have to think too hard about to enjoy. I get drunk and play DW when I'm done thinking for the day :loldog

A banger soundtrack and you just run around and beat people up, love it!

Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance Extra Missions/Snake tales

Yea DW3 I also love the most. DW4 is still really good too.

God of war, RE4, Ōkami y Shadow of the Colossus.
I don't play much ps2

The Red Star is one of the most underrated action games on the system. It's a bit of brawler, shoot em up, hybrid. It can be challenging, but once you get good it becomes kind of zen as you just get in the zone. Co-op, two characters that play differently and a third one you can unlock that also plays differently.

The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King is good, hack and slash, fun. It literally feels like you're playing through the movie. You can level up and upgrade your characters too. The Two Towers is good too, but Return of the King really refined the formula.

Maximo vs Army of Zin

Hack and slash action with some platforming thrown in, it's a ton of fun

God Hand sucks. Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks is a way better beat 'em up. That one's definitely worth a try. Or try something from the God Hand developers that is actually good like Viewtiful Joe
