Initially, I was planning to go for the Perfect Grade, but unfortunately, it wasn't being restocked at my favourite hobby store. So I went for more expensive, but more adventurous, Master Grade Extreme instead. The MGEX doubles as both a redo of the original dated Master Grade Ver. Ka of the Unicorn, and the first of two MGEX kits. Its big gimmick is the fact that the kit is built around a flexible LED Frame which ends up giving the Unicorn its iconic glowing psychoframe (both NT-D Red and Awakened Green). And it's also both scary and fun to build. An LED from the frame stuck out at the back of the torso unit preventing me from attaching the back piece that covers the exposed innerframe, but thankfully it was as easy as using my Tweezers to lightly push it back in. And also, when I went to attach the waist, the LED frame bent the wrong way, so I took off the Waist and reattached it, bending it to be the correct way.

Yeah, it's scary, it will get more daunting once I tackle the arm units, but I think the rewards will be satisfying. And if the LEDs don't work... I can just paint the clear frame.

Whoohoo Gunpla! I'm sadly not in position to keep buying more kits because I ran out of both money and space, but I really really enjoy building the plastic crack robots. I've been wanting to get some RGs for a while now. In the meantime, I've been busy with Battletech instead.

Post pics of your progress! I love watching customs being built.

Aaaand he is Finito! I have to admit: It was challenging and scary, especially the arms. However, not only is the LED frame in good condition and still working, but barring a loosened left leg, the end results are as solid as a rock. All I'll do now is apply water slide decals to the main mobile suit and the backpack, cut out the beam effects, and begin displaying this bad boy.

The rest of the giant amount of accessories I'll work on throughout the week.

Well, I forgot how to apply waterslides. So I just began displaying the Unicorn as is.
Not that I'm complaining mind you. He's really good and quite the looker. The lighting is fantastic, the light-piping throughout the kit is solid, and overall, I couldn't have picked a better one to call it a year for Gunpla purchasing with.
