So after i got back my psp i updated his system to 6.61 PRO-C Infinity while keeping my saves/games.
After going trough the processes i wanted to play a ps1 game but my life said:NAH YOU WONT BE PLAYING TODAY.
Poit is, every time i try to start a ps1 game the screen goes black, can someone tell me how to fix this????

Also if you knew me, the psp's battery and power button are fine how'ever the most important piece in the psp's internal structure is failing.
The super capacitor the thing that makes the connection between the battery and the psp

i would get rid of infinity altogether. I heard this story so many times before.
You don't need it.

are you just sticking in a psx file[bin file] or are you putting in a eboot file?

You need to put the entire eboot folder in the GAME folder in the PSP, I'm sure you know the repo has a psx2psp thing, just get your game from there and make sure its in the proper location and you don't modify the folder at all, the folder has to have that game ID as its name for it to work (for example NPUJ-00748)
eboot files on their own will not work on the PSP without the entire folder
the GAME folder is located in the PSP folder, this is where you put anything that isn't an iso file

Is this really that common? I got infinity and have had no issues nor have I heard of thus before
Not trying to be sarcastic or condescending or whatever, just genuinely curious if it's common and what might cause it to act that way

this screenshot should help. it shows how the game is supposed to be set up in the proper location.

Thanks but i did the process corectly before and it didn't work so i am gonna unistall infinity and get the newest ark edition, its just gonna be a pain in the ass

things must have changed since the last time that i checking out the psp mod scene. i don't recall needing either of those programs to play eboot files on my psp.

I mean keep it if it gives you no issues.
It's not common but i heard this issues before before it's always infinity.

I have only PRO and LME (I keep both and switch to test things sometimes).
But seem to be old now? even if there was never any issue that I noticed.

So ARK is what is being recommended now: https://www.pspunk.com/psp-cfw/

It was painfull but none to less i put ARK 4 on the psp.
My only complain is the plugins because if i leave 4 plugins that i have disabled the psp crash and i need to plug out the memory stick to deactivate the plugin in question but hopefully i can pla ps1 games on it again.

This problem with the plugins must be with the psp's cpu not being able to use all of this plugins at the same time.
I might need a more potent cpu for the psp lol.

I switched to ARK 4 about a year ago. Infinity PRO started having issues for some reason? I don't get why. Haven't had any issues on ARK and it's actively being developed.

There are a couple of PSX games that don't work on ARK. One example is the 3xtreme eboot convert.
