Most recently, Onimusha 2 remaster with the censored chest debacle. Final Fantasy VII Remake with how now they're doing some sort of multiverse thing to slowly push out the ones that enjoyed the original back in the day to quickly push in new gamers/modern gamers/etc. Sure you can argue that "Times are changing old man" but that bit would fizzle out. I'm 31 and have friends 5-10 years younger than me that enjoyed the original VII and all that was offered. There are younger people out there that believe that AAA graphics does not provide a AAA experience. This is why I always encourage people to give certain indie games a try. With Remakes like Persona 3 Reloaded, I understand both sides. Day 1s of the OG and FES edition will complain about how easier the game is amongst other gripes and newbies that enjoy the hell out of it, not knowing about the original for whatever reason. My point of view on it is this: in the video game world, you have a lot of games that will provide their own personal challenges to get through to be better at it. It's not impossible, it only requires your time and energy. YOU WILL be bad at first but it's not for the long haul. Adapt and overcome the challenges to be rewarded. I laugh as this is what Souls people will say all the time and it's true. It's only a skill issue at first but the ceiling is very high and reachable. Also, I believe gate keeping to be important still. Just because you can get in, doesn't mean that things have to be specifically tailor-made for you to enjoy said thing and doesn't make it trash. It's about putting in that work to feel the same that others feel that's tied to your own personal experience. Long-winded rant, I know. And trust me, I can go on. But I'll leave it here. [/QUOTE]
