Is it possible to create .xdelta from an exe or a folder? I'm trying to port my ff7 steam translation into psx and psp eboot version. I saw steam eng translation into ps1 psp eboot but my translation not english, french or spanish etc so please dont say it already has those languages. How can i port these translation into ps1-psp eboot ff7?

flevel.lgp
world_us.lgp
kernel.bin
kernel2.bin
windows.bin
scene.bin
ending2.avi
jenova_e.avi
ff7_en.exe
ff7_launcher.exe
lang.dat

those are translated files.

I think your best bet would be to wrap your changed files with an installer. I'll look up details for you.

I meant we translated these files but actually there is an installer

It seems XDelta doesn't support binaries, but I'll look into it further.

xdelta seems to support all files. However it's a lot more strict, in that it expects a certain input and to get to a certain output.

Honestly if you wanted to patch a bunch of files, i've done uncompresed zip files and xdelta against them, or if you want individual files on linux you'd use find to process them. There's a similar code for batch files to do something similar.

Code:
find * -exec xdelta -s {} ../updated/{} ../delta/{}.xdelta \;

Honestly i xdelta against the iso/bin files, but they're ecm'd so it doesn't have to fight with the added ECC stuff.

What's wrong with the steam translation available?

Aahhh... I see... If the formatting is the same transferring it is one thing. But otherwise probably ask who did the translations and see what tools are there... I don't think xdelta is the solution in this case.

With this https://github.com/myst6re/makoureactor/releases i can translate ps1 ff7. Now that guy was said he used maco reactor for this, i think i can import my translation too but how? I know i can copy my translate into psx step by step but it takes a loooooot of time.

Also proud clod and scarlet editor was helped to him. Proud clod for battle dialogues. I found these from a forum topic i couldnt contact the guy since i cant send pm to him.
