Saturn Hoping Saturn will have more 2D homebrew games

The homebrew scene has been busy every year, and there is an annual year end competition over at SX.

There are tools to make getting started easier. Saturn Ring Library landed this year, Jo Engine has been around for a bit.

It’s very exciting to hear and see developments like that. The thing I want to see the most is to see somebody make a true homebrew original for the Saturn that’s a must play. In the meantime, I’m really enjoying seeing these port projects come to life.

I feel, also, that the insane year the Dreamcast is having will also spill over into people discovering and falling in love with the Saturn. That happened to me, where I took the plunge this year because I became disillusioned with the Dreamcast after I had some nasty experiences with mine early on after getting it.
