What are some obscure PS1 games that you've found to be absolutely horrible?

I have a handful in mind (I don't want to say them because I'm interested in seeing if anybody else has tried them), but the one that strikes me as one of the worst is the JP exclusive, "C1 - Circuit"

I downloaded this while going down a list of every PS1 racing game, and this one is particularly bad. The car models are incredibly low quality and as far as I'm aware there are only 5 in the game. In addition, forewarned by the outline on the title screen, there's only one track, split into 3 versions, two halves and full track. Once you get into the game and start driving it doesn't get any better.

The handling of the cars is both stiff and slippery at the same time, and as you can see in the screenshots, you cannot stop once you start moving. The slowest you can get the car to go after pressing the gas is 7km/h, and while you're going that slow the car will try to slide diagonally. If you get up to a decent speed, which is strange in itself because the cars are very slow (I believe it's intended for you to upgrade them, but who's gonna do that), the game will throw you a sharp turn and if you hit the wall the car gets tossed very unnaturally, it feels like a bug that was never fixed.

The ONLY positive about the game is that the models + textures of the buildings are actually pretty visually appealing, but they're hard to get a good look at because they randomly pop in and out as you drive past. The same pop-in happens to some sections of the road in your periphery as well, mostly when you drive past intersections.

FIST is one of the worst 3D fighters, with about a full second of input lag every time and barely any moves.
It looks so clunky, I have to admit that those backgrounds are so low quality that it circles back around to being awesome though. It's also funny how in some arenas the floor just seems to fade out into the background with no real sense of scale or distance.

not a bad game(actually it's a great one) but I prefer that Silent Bomber stays as the most underrated Cyberconnect game as I found Fuga fans and Solatorobo(to be honest, I don't consider Solatorobo as a ''hidden gem'' or ''underrated'' despite the sales) fans being annoying in these days

It's not super hidden anymore but I can see where you're coming from. I love art games but there's just no real substance or reason to keep playing after an hour. It's pretty but that's almost all it has going for it.

Hogs of war is great, you guys just don't get it.
Pax Corpus is terrible and I wish I hadn't wasted a disc on it.
100% agree on Pax Corpus, I tried it a while back and got 30 mins in before deleting it. I could absolutely be wrong about Hogs of War though, I've never tried it so all I had to base my opinion off of was watching a gameplay vid on youtube after reading their comment.

Pre-3 Toshinden games.
Post-3 Toshinden game.
The first Toshinden was a big hit at the time so it's not hidden at all. It was even hyped as a PS1 killer app. I agree the series isn't good though, and since it barely improved with time everyone stopped caring by the time of 3 and 4, so those are obscure.

King's Field. If not for it being attached to FromSoft, i think it should've and would've stayed hidden.

Ok, genuine question: is this an officially licensed game?

Because this looks like a bootleg or a cheap flash game I would find on the early 2000s internet.
I think it is officially licensed, it seems that the team who made it had worked on previous Sailor Moon fighting games

As someone that repeatedly beated the campaign over the years, Hogs of War is a good game, i'd say even better than the official attempts at a 3D Worms game Team17 made in the 2000s.
My only caveat as i've grown older is how corny and racist the dialogue can be.

Baffling but it is officially licensed, it's just really bad, looks and plays terribly, one of the worst fighting games i've ever seen, there's a reason barely anyone knows it exists

i have a soft spot for LSD having gone through all of it a couple of times already, yes it can get pretty boring but that's just the nature of walking simulators overall, i think exploring it for the first time for at least an hour or two is a worthwhile experience just from how weird the game is
