Hei, iam new for this retro PSP game, and I have PSP 2000 series now, I buy it second hand from stranger lately, here come the issue that I want ask, first I don't know why but not all iso can be ready in my PSP I don't know what's wrong, like I downloaded hetalia game and it run no problem but when i installed Hatsune Miku project diva it say data is corrupted, I believe my PSP have been cfw, I know it because I can access like the clockspeed or I believe it called recover ( Iam not sure what is name ) I tried everything like restarting, reset the memory and etc ( iam using converter from SD card for the memory ), and then the second problem is i can't use the battery, like it's not detecting and the date is like always resetting ( as far as I know it maybe because of the cmos, same thing like laptop/pc, and I got experience from that)

That's all, iam really sorry I have bad English, English is not my first language and I don't really have a good grade at English

Thank you, maybe someone can help me I really wanted to play this psp ( to play some nostalgic game)

I can't really help much, but you can try playing in an emulator with your phone/pc/laptop.
I believe the psp is also faulty so there's that, you can definitely get it fixed
i really missed the feel tbh, thats why i buy the device in the first place, maybe i should seek some psp technician here i guess, i dont want this to be damaged or i really messed up this device, but hey thanks for the respond

the device can be considered as a relic in these times, so i wish you luck on trying to get it fixed my man

Hey man, can you go to the settings of the PSP and check the firmware version? There should show up what CFW you have installed, this happened to me as well, there is a handful of games that won't work on certain CFW's, an example is the English Patched version of Final Fantasy Type-0 only works on 6.60 PRO-C CFW

Edit: It usually says what you have installed after the firmware version, should be a symbol on end of it

Try checking the game page were you downloaded the ISO to see if it says anything about compatibility problems with your specific CFW version, it's most likely the problem or try downloading the ISO from another place, might just be a corrupted file as well

Make sure you're up to date on your CFW, from what I saw you say you're on a really outdated version, the most recent ones are 6.60 and 6.61
And make sure what you're downloading isn't a DLC or something like that
Some ISOs come corrupted on the PSP and I've had my fair share of hair pulling moments with it but anything you might struggle with you can usually find a solution for on r/PSP
Here's some resources in case you need to format/redo the entire hacking process for whatever reason, I wouldn't advise doing it since I think it MIGHT be able to brick your PSP, but with how simple the process is I'm not sure
Also, make sure to get Infinity in order to keep your CFW permanently as the PSP gets rid of it after a cold reset
As for your battery, I mean it might be just faulty or dead, these things are pretty old now and I wouldn't be all too surprised
Also be sure to check your battery, it could be bloated which is a safety hazard and you should get it changed immediately

Good luck man, hopefully you can get it fixed, the PSP is the best handheld ever made in my opinion

Hey!
Regarding the battery, you can buy decent quality ones from aliexpress, OSTENT brand.
Most likely is the CFW that needs updating, but the PSP is also picky with file names length. Over 30 characters it shows corrupt file or doesnt show. I usually shorten the names, it doesnt affect how it appears on the PSP. For example, GTA Liberty City Stories i shorten to GTALCS, and so on.
Hope that helps.

I would test the ISO using the PPSSPP emulator first to see if it is corrupt or not. That emulator is pretty mature so it can play anything a real PSP can. If it corrupt, you'll need to get a replacement. The Repo on this site has a decent selection just in case you need to find new ISO.

I know that PSP batteries can be a gamble these days since the official ones have long since been discontinues. I hear the Ostent ones are okay, but even then I'd get it off of Amazon in case it's a dud.

The only other options to playing PSP games are to either get a PS Vita and soft mod it (and get a SD card adapter), or grab an Android phone and a controller. The PPSSPP emulator works pretty well on them, and there's a lot less of a hassle to get working compared to an iPhone.

Good luck on playing your games.

oh yeah, the battery is working right now and iam thanks the admin too help me rename the thread and make people come and help me, thankyou very much admin

I'd say your English is pretty good, so I wouldn't worry about it. I'm a native English speaker and I was able to understand you without any issue. No headache here.

Have you tested the ISO files that are reading as corrupt on the emulator PPSSPP? It's a good way to check if the files are actually corrupt or not.

i tested 2 game, f1 2009 and hatsune miku project diva 2, my psp say it corrupted but ppsspp can run it

You need to update your PSP custom firmware from your 6.20 to 6.60/6.61 that's why the games don't work, there's a lot of tutorials of how doing it. ☝️🤓
you can read the previous post, i did it, now my cfw firm ware is 6.61 but still have a same problem
